Leading down to Brighton’s Beach in the UK. I expected a more down at the heels type resort city. Comes from reading too many 1960’s police procedurals. Actually quite an active and hip resort in many ways.
Matador is a small town in North Texas near the Oklahoma border. This truck sits near Bob’s Oil Well, a preserved filling station from the fifties with a pseudo oil derrick partly seen upper left.

Totally amazed at the heavy traffic in and out of Rostok, Germany. The channel is scarcely wider than these three ships. There were also a number of smaller craft travelling in a narrow space outside the buoys. Must get nerve racking at times for captains, pilots and just plain boaters. Taken in 2011.
Ephesus is quite fascinating. As is Pergamon. Always find the Lego-Like reconstructions to be cool. The library in Ephesus is just a facade, but shows us how important learning was in these eras. A lesson that needs to be relearned in today’s America.
